I became a nurse in 2011 and over the past 18 months, I have had more thoughts of wanting to quit nursing than wanting to stay. I often think to myself, if I did not need the money, would I stay in this profession? I also have casually, but consciously set a stop date for my current way of working because I know I cannot take the stress of a teaching hospital for the rest of my life.

Once again, we’re encouraged to stay home. Hugging or close contact with those outside our immediate family or friend group is discouraged. Not knowing what comes next only heightens our current stress.
