Code yellow at Gosford and NT hospitals

Nurses and midwives at two Central Coast hospitals have held an own-time rally in an attempt to escalate their concerns around widespread understaffing this winter. Staff at Gosford and Wyong Hospitals said the lack of action being taken to address workforce shortages is putting everyone at risk. A ‘code yellow’ emergency was called at Gosford Hospital last month due to patient demand overwhelming hospital resources.
