New Jersey lawmakers plan to discuss a controversial measure to codify in law nurse-to-patient ratios for hospitals and other health care facilities on Thursday, just weeks after a central Jersey trauma center settled with nurses who had been on strike since early August over concerns that included appropriate staffing.
