Virtual Nursology Theory Week starts March 21st!

This conference is gaining momentum every day, with just a few days shy of one month until the program begins on March 21st and concludes on Monday March 25th! The Theme for the conference is “Nursology Theory Think Tanks for the Future.”  The program is  available here, and features three significant “plenary” sessions presented by teams of students, early-career scholars, and scholars whose names are widely familiar! The “knowledge sessions” will be 30-minute blocks presented by individuals who are actively involved in the development and application of nursing theory!  Registration is open now, and there is an option to apply for scholarships.

Registration gives you access to attend any and all of the zoom sessions, as well as access to the conference “Guidebook” which you can retain on you mobile device indefinitely. Guidebook will include zoom information for each day of the conference, the names, bios, and email contact information for all presenters, names and connections for all attendees. The slides used by all presenters will be posted in Guidebook, and it will include a certificate of attendance that you can use to apply for CE or academic credit.

Translation now available on Zoom!

We have several nurse scholars from countries and cultures that speak languages other than English who will be presenting, and many others who are planning to attend the Virtual Nursology Theory Week! The conference will be presented in English, but Zoom now has a “translation” feature that everyone will be able to use during the conference, as needed! We know that the translations are likely to have a few glitches, particularly given the technical language that will be part of the conference. But it is wonderful to have this capability now being developed! We might even ask someone to give a segment in their own native language so that English-speaker can try the translation feature as well! This short video is provided by Ray Harwood, whose team will be managing our zoom platform for the conference!
