Evelyn Rose Benson Celebrating 100 Years!

This month of March is special for many reasons. March 1st was the first day of our meteorological spring, March 19th is the first day of our astrological spring, and March is the birthday month of a very special nursologist.

Please join me in wishing Evelyn Rose Benson a most happy 100th birthday! For a detailed discussion of Evelyn’s amazing life and career, see Evelyn Rose Benson: Public Health Nursologist Extraordinaire.

Evelyn Rose Benson

It is my continuing honor to be Evelyn’s friend. I have learned so much for our discussions about nursology and life transitions over the years we have known each other.

Evelyn continues to contribute to nursology by meeting with undergraduate leaners from a college in Boston, Massachusetts who come to her home to interview her about her experiences as a nursologist. Evelyn has told me how much she welcomes and values these discussions.

Happy, Happy 100th Birthday, Evelyn!

  1. Congratulations to Evelyn Rose Benson!
We learn so much from the wisdom of long-living people. Thanks for keeping history alive, go on with teaching and being a role model.

To all colleagues: Don’t look at age/years (not even for US presidents), but on their message:

Honesty. Decency. Dignity. Equality. To respect everyone. To give everyone a fair shot. To give hate no safe harbor.

Good health and all the best.

    Kind regards
Maria Müller Staub (PhD, EdN, MNS, RN, FEANS)

  2. Happy Birthday and thank you for continuing to share your experiences and wisdom with generations of nurses!!
