It’s really no surprise that there are gifted and talented people everywhere you look at the Johns Hopkins School of Nursing. So, when the school dedicated a long wall in Pinkard for a revolving art exhibit, it didn’t have to look far for contributions to fill the space.

Spring 2023 brings the second installation, featuring the faculty and staff-created images presented here. (Students created the first installation.) A sculpture by Instructional Technologist Daniel Sherman and pages from a stereotype-busting children’s book by Anushka Jajodia, a social designer with the COMPASS Center, will simply have to be appreciated in person.

For now, we present Magical Dimension by Academic Services Specialist Nakia Taylor and Niña Evelyn (Cartagena, Colombia) from Daniel Martinez, JHSON’s staff photographer, who took so many of the images in this issue. Assistant Professor Melissa Hladek painted Elena (above) after suffering a miscarriage.
